賢首

(賢首, 贤首)

Sage head or loader, a term of address to a monk. A (sa) bodhisattva in the <Huayan sūtra>. A queen mentioned in the same (sa) sūtra, and in the [lang id =1028]賢首經. The third patriarch [lang id =1028]法藏Fazang, of the Huayan sect, which is also known by his title [lang id =1028]賢首宗 Xianshou-zong.
